Stuck in a contract? We’ll help you break it.

Follow 3 easy steps to get up to $200 per line with our contract buyout program. Be sure to apply within 3 months of switching to Eastlink. We’ll credit your account within 8 weeks of approving your application.

Step 1: Choose a new data plan.

Visit us in-store, give us a call or shop online for a new Unlimited Data or Rollover Data plan. Once you’ve found your perfect plan, we’ll transfer your existing phone number for you.

Step 2: Download the Eastlink Mobile My Account app.

Register and log in to your Mobile My Account app. If you’re eligible for the contract buyout credit, you’ll see a notification on your dashboard.

Step 3: Upload your final bill from your previous provider. 

From your dashboard notification, tap Apply Now and upload a copy of your final bill from your previous mobile provider. It must show your ported phone number and any early device cancellation fees. 

If you brought your family members with you, repeat this step for each Unlimited Data and Rollover Data plan you added to your account.

Contract Buyout applications must meet all of the following criteria:
A) You must be age of majority in Canada and pass a credit check.
B) You must upload your final bill from your previous wireless service provider that displays its cancellation/early-termination fee.
C) The previous service provider must operate in Eastlink's serving territory and the porting number must have an eligible area code in Eastlink’s serving area to port over.
D) You must have ported your existing cell phone number to Eastlink and activate a new Rollover, Unlimited, or Promo Data Plan for each cell phone for which you apply.
E) Buyout offer may not be combined with some in-market offers, at Eastlink’s discretion.

You may submit up to five separate applications for five cell phones per new account, each cell phone shall be assessed individually against the criteria above. Eastlink may provide a device transfer credit up to $200 for your outstanding device balance. The device transfer will establish an amount owing on your account which Eastlink as a one-time credit on your behalf as long as your Eastlink account remains in good standing, with each relevant device on an eligible Data Plan. If you cancel your Eastlink Mobile service before the device transfer credit has been fully paid down, you shall owe Eastlink the remaining balance of the device transfer credit. The device transfer credit is subject to the easyTab® terms and conditions outlined in your Mobile service agreement.
