How can I purchase a Device Protection plan? add close

You can add it when buying a new phone online or in-store, or within 60 days of that date.

Is there a time limit to purchase a Device Protection plan? add close

If you’d like to add a Device Protection plan, it must be done within 60 days of the date you purchased your new phone.

How do I pay for my Device Protection plan? add close

Your Device Protection plan fee will appear on your mobile bill each month.

Are there any charges besides the monthly plan fee? add close

Additional charges may apply if:

  • A non-return fee will be charged if we don’t receive your defective device within 15 days of you receiving your replacement device.
  • A non-return fee plus shipping and handling costs will be charged if you send us a device that is not the defective device under your plan.
  • A non-return fee plus shipping and handling costs or an unlocking fee may be charged if the defective device we receive is screen locked or the activation lock is still active.
  • A Replacement Service Fee is a claims processing fee that will be collected when your claim is approved. You will be charged this fee based on the make and model of your mobile device at time of purchase.

Can I cancel my Device Protection plan? add close

Yes, just call us at 1-877-737-2525. You can cancel your plan for any reason within the first 15 days and receive a full refund, as long as you haven’t requested and/or received a replacement device in that time. If you cancel after the first 15 days, you’ll receive a prorated refund of the plan monthly fee, minus the value of any replacement device you have received.

Are there any other ways my Device Protection plan could be cancelled? add close

Your plan can be cancelled if:

  • Your payments were not made
  • You did not adhere to the Terms and Conditions provided to you at the time of registration or to the terms of your Service Agreement. See your Device Protection Plan Terms and Conditions for more details.
  • You committed fraud or misrepresentation in submitting a request for a replacement device.
  • Your device was repaired by an unauthorized party.

Is my Device Protection plan transferrable? add close

No, your plan can’t be transferred to another person or device. Your plan only covers the device you have registered with Eastlink or your subsequent replacement device, provided by Assurant.

How AppleCare+ works:

Every iPhone comes with one year of hardware repair coverage through its limited warranty and up to 90 days of complimentary technical support. AppleCare+ for iPhone extends your coverage and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage protection every 12 months. Each incident is subject to a service fee of $39 for screen or back glass damage, or $129 for any other damage, plus applicable tax. In addition, you’ll get 24/7 priority access to Apple experts by chat or phone.

What AppleCare+ covers:

By adding AppleCare+, you’ll get:

  • 24/7 priority access to Apple experts by online chat or phone.
  • Mail-in repair: Mail in your iPhone using a prepaid shipping box provided by Apple.
  • Carry-in repair: Take your iPhone to an Apple Store or other Apple Authorized Service Provider.

With AppleCare+ for iPhone, Apple experts can help troubleshoot issues with your iPhone, iOS and iCloud, and Apple-branded apps, including:

Software support included:

AppleCare+ provides repair or replacement coverage, including both parts and labour, from Apple-authorized technicians. Service coverage includes:
