Where is Eastlink's 5G network? add close

Our long term goal is to offer 5G in all of our mobile coverage areas. See our network map above for more details on current coverage and coming soon areas.

What is the 5G experience like? add close

Eastlink customers will immediately experience faster speeds on our 5G network in comparison to 4G LTE and these speeds will continue to get exponentially faster over time.

What do I need to do, as an Eastlink customer, to connect to 5G? add close

An Eastlink customer with a 5G compatible device, who’s within Eastlink’s 5G coverage area, with latest software installed, will automatically connect to our 5G network.

Does an Eastlink customer have to subscribe to select plans in order to take advantage of the 5G network? add close

No! All of our mobile plans are 5G compatible.

How will 5G compatible device users know they are using the 5G network? add close

If using a 5G compatible device, have latest software installed, and are within the 5G coverage area, users will see a “5G” indicator on the right top corner of their device.

Is 5G roaming available? add close

We are working closely with our Canadian and International partner networks to be able to provide 5G roaming in the near future. Our aim is to give our customers the best possible network experience when travelling.

Is Eastlink's 4G LTE network still available? add close

Of course! Areas not covered by our 5G network will continue to benefit from our fast 4G LTE network.

Do I need a 5G device in order to be on Eastlink's network? add close

No, not at all. You can take advantage of our 4G LTE network. However, customers with a 5G-compatible device will be future-ready and will immediately experience the benefits of faster speeds/performance on our 5G network.

Extended coverage represents access to partner networks in Atlantic Canada and across the country, including the Bell, Rogers, and, now, Telus and Videotron networks. Access to LTE Extended coverage may be affected by various factors, including system availability, your device, and technical compatibility.
The map above is an approximate representation of Eastlink’s Wireless coverage. The actual coverage area may vary and is subject to change from time to time. Reception may be affected by various factors, including system availability, signal strength, your device, and environmental conditions.
Usage outside the Eastlink network may not be reflected on your bill until subsequent billing cycles.
